Carter's first day of school went well. I did not get near enough details, and I asked lots of questions. bummer!! He loved it and was glowing. He did say they have to sit a lot and they have to be quiet. One other thing is an adjustment for Carter----shoes! He never wears shoes for longer than a 3 hour period. First thing he did when he came home was take off the shoes.
And let me report about his doctors visit. The doctor does find it very odd that Carter gets sick and no one else does. So he had to get some tests- pee, blood and a head CT. We haven't got the head CT yet but we went last night for the pee in a cup and blood draw. I let Chris take Carter for the pee in a cup event(he knows better than I.) Chris so thoughtfully let me hold Carter for the blood draw. No really, I offered but Chris was thrilled. We had the best nurse!!! She was a black lady with blonde hair and the bestest personality. She never told Carter what she was going to do and neither did I! I think she was nervous but she did so good. Carter watched the whole thing and didn't flinch or cry or tear or scream--nothing. He had no clue. So if you ever have to get a 5 year olds blood drawn don't tell them what is happening, it worked out great. I gave Carter warning about shots and he screamed and cried his head off.
Carter also tricked me and is a clever little turd. He came home from school and ohh he was so hot... Mom can I have a Popsicle? Being the loving sweet mother I am," sure honey." One hour later Mom can I have another Popsicle, pleaseeee? Being the nasty mean mother I am, " no honey."
" Please, I'll tell you a secret."
And something prompted me, "Carter did you already have a Popsicle at school?"
"HOw did you know?!! "
Tricky tricky.
One last thing. It is soo weird to have an only child home with me! I have a new buddy and it is really neat but I'm struggling to find something to occupy Cade. Cade did say he likes Carter being gone because he can play with his toys. I pushed Cade on the swing for 1/2 hour, we got the mail, we walked the dog. I had him sort recycling and clean up a bit. I am afraid he will be sat in front of the TV a lot. Come on Preschool!!

I am so glad Carter loved school! I hope he keeps liking it! My Carter has slowly realized that he can't play as many video games now and is kind of freaking out about it. I hope you figure out what is wrong with your poor little guy!
You will have to come over somedays and have Cade play with Landon....he is not too happy about the abundance of girls suddenly in our house and the lack of boys is a shock to his system. Too many baby dolls too few sword fights.
oh I so know what you mean about the one little kid at home and what the heck do you do with him? LOL!! hope the tests turn out ok for Carter. Keep me posted on that ok?
