Cade turns 4, Nov. 21

We started the day with a sprinkling of snow. Then I invited 2 boys over for a playdate. It is the first playdate that was just for Cade. I let the boys decorate cupcakes and play games. It was really fun and makes me sad that I don't do that more for Cade. His friends were getting ready to leave when Carter came home from school. Carter asked for a cupcake and I said no wait a minute. Did Carter obey? No he did not! And when he went to get a cupcake he tipped them ALL onto the floor. I was so proud of myself that I didn't through a temper tantrum. I sent Carter to his room for a few minutes while I cleaned up the mess. I figured not getting to taste those cupcakes was lesson enough. I am also proud that Cade did not throw a temper tantrum! I would have. The more I think about it, the more I know that Cades behavior problems come from me. Don't tell my husband. Anyway Cade had a nap then we continued the festivities. We took Cade to Takaoka of Japan. It was a first for the boys and they loved it. Cade's dessert was sherbet, which is one of his favorites. It had a sparkler in it, this was right up his alley. He had a great day and is so excited to be four.
