Winter Update

I have a seasonal blog, so here is the winter update. Our house was without power for 6 days. Yes, it was so awful. The first few days w/out power were almost fun, but I got over that. In the end Carter was crying. Our house got down to 36 degrees. Cade's fish died because of the cold. We went out and bought a propane heater which heated the upstairs where we slept. We also bought a camp stove so I could cook and have coffee. During the day we stayed gone as much as possible. Shopping, visits to the library, went to the movies. When we were here we would all wear 3 layers of clothes and stare at the heater. There were fun moments when we would play cards together and such, but I prefer to do that with electricity. Honestly it is still depressing to talk about this. It was no fun right before Christmas, and it cost a lot of money to go out and buy the stuff we needed to survive. It isn't how Christmas break should have went but we did survive and it feels like it happened last month instead of last week.
